Sports Performance

Whether you’re training for a marathon, triathlon or are just an active/ weekend warrior, this consultation is for you! Our Sports Dietitian will design a tailored plan to help you optimize body composition, maximize sports performance (strength and speed), enhance metabolic flexibility (burn more fat at higher heart rates) and shorten recovery time from workouts.

We also offer exercise testing with our Exercise Physiologist or Biomechanist at our Human Performance Center, where you can refine your training plan with functional performance testing, Vo2 max and lactate threshold tests.

What you will receive:

  • Detailed assessment of your 1-week food journal/daily training log, to uncover behaviors and areas for change
  • Calculation of your:
    • sweat-rate, to learn your unique hydration needs for sport
    • energy needs (calorie targets, ratio of macronutrients)
    • protein needs according to weight and training type and volume
  • Highly specific plan for what and when to eat/drink pre, during, and post-workouts
  • Assessment of sports bars and drinks you use, and recommendations to revise or substitute
  • Review and advising on effectiveness for supplements you currently use, as well as recommendations for evidence-based anabolic supplements
  • For triathletes: a periodized, year-round nutrition target sheet, customized according to each phase of your training
